Impact

With over 125,000 bicycles in the field and more than 800 field mechanics trained, World Bicycle Relief is changing lives across Africa. World Bicycle Relief currently has assembly facilities in Angola, Kenya, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe and has supplied bicycles through programs in Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
An Industrial Revolution

Simple, sustainable transportation in the form of a bicycle multiplies an individual's efficiency. Compared to walking, bicycles improve access to education, healthcare and economic opportunity by increasing carrying capacity and accessible travel distance while decreasing the time it takes to commute to and from schools, clinics and markets.
Results

World Bicycle Relief is committed to constant monitoring and evaluation of our programs. We contract third-party evaluators to assess the effectiveness of each project and compile results into field reports available to the public. Download our reports and see The Power of Bicycles at work.
